This survivor-informed, evidence-based, and trauma-informed training equips health care and social service professionals to recognize and respond to potential victims of human trafficking. Participants will build confidence in identifying signs, safely intervening, and connecting individuals to care and resources while strengthening community capacity to respond.

Objectives

  • Understand the scope, signs, and health impacts of trafficking

  • Learn survivor-informed strategies for identification and response

  • Explore collaboration across sectors to prevent and address trafficking

Meet your Speaker!

Amy Thurston is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hope Inspire Love. A seasoned executive and advocate, she leads the mission to eradicate human trafficking and sexual exploitation while empowering survivors to flourish and thrive.

Amy holds a BA from Southeastern and is completing her MA in Leadership. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist in Sex Trafficking and Exploitation, with additional certifications in Recognizing and Caring for Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking Victims and trauma-informed care through Trauma Institute International and Penn Medicine.

In addition to her leadership, Amy is a credentialed minister, certified life coach, keynote and conference speaker, and educator, passionately equipping communities to respond to trafficking with compassion and resilience.
